Plymouth Seek Administrator

Plymouth will incur a ten point penalty, and face relegation to League Two, after announcing that they have issued a 'Notice of Intention' to appoint an Administrator.

While the club are not currently in Administration, and a club statement insists that they may not make the move, Football League rules mean the club will incur the ten point penalty. The 'Notice of Intention' effectively prevents creditors from making moves against the club, and will give the Pilgrims breathing space to continue negotiations with potential investors.

On the pitch, the Pilgrims will now face an uphill battle to save their League One status. They will drop to the bottom of the table with the deduction, eight points short of safety, having scored just two goals in five straight losses over the last month.
