News Round-Up

Morecambe's new boss Jim Bentley has released nine players from the Globe Arena. Among them is veteran midfielder Chris Shuker and winger Neil Wainwright. Bentley has also named his backroom staff, with former Altrincham manager Ken McKenna becoming his no.2 and Stewart Drummond acting as coach and reserve team manager. Fleetwood have announced the signing of striker Richard Brodie on a 12 month loan deal from Crawley.

A new name in the frame for the Swindon job is current Leicester coach Dietman Hamann. The German joins Paulo Di Canio and George Burley in the running alongside current caretaker Paul Bodin. Rotherham chairman Tony Stewart says they have not received any enquiries for striker Adam Le Fondre or any of the other players. Scunthorpe are claimed to be after Le Fondre and midfielder Nicky Law.

Burton are to trial Canadian goalkeeper Tony Di Bernardo in pre-season training. The 28 year old is playing for Ryman 1 South side Worthing and has been invited for pre-season after a three day trial. Shrewsbury's plans for their summer Elton John concert has seen the local council place an on-street parking ban on streets within a four mile radius of the ground for the concert.

Rumours currently flying around Oxford have linked manager Chris Wilder with a move to Sheff Utd. The 43 year old started his playing career at Bramhall Lane, playing just over 100 times for the club. Wrexham manager Dean Saunders has signed a new 12 month contract with the club, and has backed the new owners as the right people to take the club forward.

Kettering owner Imran Ladak wants to move his side to Rushden's ground and merge the two club's fanbases, warning fans of both sides neither of them will exist in the Conference in two years time without something being done. Kettering face losing their Rockingham Road base soon due to it's lease expiring. Port Vale have reported a surge in season ticket sales following Micky Adams' reappointment as manager.

Aldershot have signed defender Aaron Brown on a two year deal. The 6ft 5in released Leyton Orient man spent three months at Stockport recently.
