Former Bulls goalkeeper Wayne Brown is unsure of his future plans after returning to the UK following his South African adventure with Supersport United turned into a disaster.
The 34 year old was unceremoniously dumped by the former champions as their season turned into a relegation battle, with the former Chester man used as a scapegoat by the press and fans. But he told Sky Sports that he was happy to have had the chance to play there:
"When the opportunity came up last year I couldn't turn it down. While I thoroughly enjoyed it, it has been difficult for my family and I, and I felt I needed to be closer to home."
Brown has been touted for a move to Italy, and has also been linked to Shrewsbury:
"I have had initial discussions with clubs in Italy but we will see what happens. I am just going to enjoy my holiday and spend time with my family.
"I can understand why people might link me with Shrewsbury as I had a reasonably successful period working with Graham Turner and getting promoted to League One at Hereford.
"I was nearly part of it with Bury as well but we just lost out in the semis to Shrewsbury and I am absolutely thrilled for all at the club that they have done it this year.
"However, there has been no contact with any club yet. I've only been back two days and am looking forward to spending time with my family first and foremost."
