News Round-Up

Plymouth's preferred bidder is rumoured to be late with funds destined to keep the club afloat. Supporter unrest is mounting over the way Administrator Brendan Guilfoyle has handled the sale process, with bidder Paul Buttivant saying he intends to lodge a formal complaint over Guilfoyle's conduct. Update - Guilfoyle has denied the payment is late. Ex-Bull Chris Hargreaves is now the 5/2 favourite to become Torquay's new manager.

Aldershot have parted company with goalkeeper coach Alan Knight. The Portsmouth legend arrived at the club with former manager Kevin Dillon. Rotherham are set to win the race for Derby midfielder Ben Pringle. The 22 year old had a spell at Torquay last season but rejected an extension to the loan to try and force his way into the Rams' first team. They are also expected to sign former Bradford winger Gareth Evans, but admit they are set to lose Nicky Law after receiving 'several cash offers' for the out of contract 23 year old.

Altrincham's official site reports that they 'have been unable to offer terms' to ex-Bull Mark Beesley. The ex-Chester man played 19 times for them last season on loan from Barrow. Crawley are claimed to be heading the chase for former Bulls trialist Jon-Paul Kissock. The 21 year old joined Southport in December, earning rave reviews for his performances.

Barnet striker Izale McLeod says he is not considering leaving Underhill as he 'owes the club a lot' after they paid for the operation that helped him recover from his long-term injury problems. Wimbledon's rise to the Football League means a summer of upgrading their Kingsmeadow home. They need to install CCTV and a Police control box, increase capacity of the dugouts, install extra barriers, and upgrade the PA system. Their 4,722 capacity home will also be required to meet the 5,000 minimum of the FL within two years.

Wrexham's Supporters Trust have reported little progress on their announced attempt to buy the club. The deal was supposed to be finalised today, but their appointed lawyers and accountants have only been given 'limited information' by owners Geoff Moss and Ian Roberts, preventing them from doing the work necessary to agree a sale. Swindon defender Scott Cuthbert has turned down a new deal with the club to sign for Leyton Orient. The Robins opted not to activate a contract clause in his deal, but offered a lower wage instead.
