News Round-Up

Stevenage have ramped up ticket prices following their promotion to League One next term. Adult admission will cost up to £5 more than last season, while under 11's following away sides at the Lamex Stadium will have to pay up to £10 more than their counterparts in the home end. AFC Wimbledon have put their prices up by £1 following their promotion to the Football League. It will cost £2 more than at Edgar Street to watch football at Kingsmeadow, while they have sold out of seating for season tickets already due to limited availability. They have confirmed plans to install 900 extra seats in time for the start of the 2012-13 season.

Gillingham boss Andy Hessenthaler may want Peterboro pair Chris Whelpdale and Charlie Lee but, according to salesman Barry Fry, he cannot afford them. Fry, in full wheeler-dealer mode, has told the press that Crawley have had bids accepted for both players but that neither want to move to Steve Evans' side. Port Vale fans are calling on the three board members that survived the EGM vote to quit the club, saying they have 'no moral authority' to run the club after losing a vote of confidence. So far, over 800 fans have signed an online petition calling for them to go.

Dagenham have rejected a bid from Sheff Weds for winger Danny Green. The 22 year old scored 13 times from the right wing last season, and has two more years on his contract. Representatives of Plymouth's anonymous preferred bidder met with Peter Ridsdale yesterday to assure him their takeover was still on track but it will not meet the original June 14th deadline. Ridsdale admitted to the local press that the club may well remain in Administration going into the season. Administrator Brendan Guilfoyle will fly out to the Football League AGM in Cyprus next week to discuss what measures the FL need in order to hand the club their Golden Share back.

Bristol Rovers defender Danny Coles is in negotiations with the club over a severance deal as the Pirates want to shift the high earner off their wage bill. He is said to be interesting Exeter. Grimsby have released Dwayne Samuels and Charles Ademeno after reaching agreements over their outstanding contracts. Defender Samuels is a former West Brom trainee but started only a handful of games while striker Ademeno, who cost £10,000 last summer, started only seven times due to injury.
