Busy Saturday at Edgar Street

This coming Saturday should be a very busy day both on and off the pitch at Edgar Street

There is, of course, the matter of the visit of high-flying Crawley Town with manager Steve Evans to add to the entertainment. But as well as that it is Hereford United's Family Festival Day which is aimed at increasing support for the Bulls.

Supporters of all ages are asked to turn out in fancy dress and there will be face painters at the ground to help.

The club in conjunction with the local fire brigade are putting on a half-time display. It will include two football supporters, one from Hereford the other from Crawley, trying to move 'vital' equipment whilst wearing breathing apparatus and then hoping to score a penalty against Edgar the Bull.

Special 'family tickets' are still available for the game at just £25. Contact the club on 0844 276 1939 for more details.

On a more serious note before the game there will be a minute applause for three former Hereford United 'heroes' who have recently passed on. Roy Williams and Jock Letham were former players and Don Cooke was the PA man.
