Cornell could miss Yeovil Cup-tie

UPDATED: There is a doubt whether Hereford United goalkeeper David Cornell, will be available for next Saturday's FA Cup-tie against Yeovil.

Last week BN reported that Cornell was in the Wales under 21 squad to play Armenia next Tuesday week, November 15th, and it was thought he would be back for the following Saturday's match.

Now it appears that the Under 21's are travelling to Armenia for a walking holiday which will take place before the game and if correct Cornell could miss the Yeovil match.

Both Gary Peters and Jamie Pitman are said to be livid about the situation.

Given that the chief executive of the Welsh FA, Jonathan Ford, is a Herefordian, it's hoped a resolution to the problem can be sorted.

Meanwhile current sub keeper Russell Hoult wasn't on the bench this afternoon as he is reported to be carrying an injury.
