News Round-Up

A couple of clubs have returned to the nasty habit of making veiled threats to the operators of independent sites. The fine Bradford Boy from Brazil site has chosen to close after 'talks' with the club, with fans claiming the club made legal threats against the writers over recent articles about Archie Christie's departure. Grimsby are also in the dock after former chairman John Fenty wrote a badly spelt missive to The Fishy site over recent postings.

Wrexham's owners claim the club's Supporters' Trust gave them just two hours to respond to a request for more information before issuing their statement complaining about changes to their agreement. The owners claims that the statement has brought threats to not only themselves but also students at the Glyndwr University that has bought the Racecourse ground.

Kidderminster have denied rumours of a wholesale board resignation, but chairman Mark Serrell has confirmed there have been changes and that a statement will be issued on Monday. Darlington chairman Raj Singh has said the club will not appoint a new manager until he has reviewed the club and decided whether it is viable to continue. He may place the club in Administration if the players do not accept his 'ultimatum' to cut wages.

Crewe boss Dario Gradi says he won't walk away from the manager's job at Gresty Road despite his side being booed off the pitch after their 3-0 home loss to Torquay yesterday. The 70 year old has had increasing calls for his head with the Railwaymen now down to 18th place. Port Vale have announced that Micky Adams has left his position as a director to concentrate on football matters. He was used as a stop-gap to allow the decreased board to function under club rules following the summer EGM.

Macclesfield are to appeal the red card shown to striker Vinny Mukendi at the start of the second half of their loss to Burton yesterday. The youngster was red carded for an elbow just 43 seconds after coming onto the pitch as a sub. Ahead of the weekend, Accrington signed Bournemouth striker Jayden Stockley on a months loan. The 18 year old's only goals for the Cherries this season came against the Bulls in the JPT.
