Today's Hereford Times reports that Stefan Stam is to miss six weeks as he is due to have a knee operation today.
The Dutchman damaged cartilage during Saturday's match at Torquay and now requires surgery to fix the problem. The news is worsened with the paper also reporting that fellow defender Andy Todd is also struggling to be fit for Saturday after picking up a dead leg at the weekend.
If Todd is also out for the Crawley match, the Bulls are likely to revert to a partnership of Ryan Green and Michael Townsend in central defence.
