News Round-Up

Kettering have been locked out of Rockingham Road after failing to pay the rent. While they play first team games at Nene Park now, their old ground was still used by their reserves and youth as well as the social club and club shop still being there. 13 years to the day that York City beat Man City in a League One match, they lost last night to Kidderminster 3-2 in the Conference.

Bradford coach Wayne Allison has left the club to take up a role with the FA. The 43 year old had been working with the Bantams' development squad, which had seen chief Archie Christie leave last month. Dagenham have extended the loan of striker Christian Montano for a second month. The 20 year old has scored once in three games so far.

The Football League has selected the Prostate Cancer Charity as their official charity for next season after a vote on their website. Sheff Weds had £21.4million of debt written off last season following Milan Mandaric's takeover of the club. The veteran chairman also had to loan the club £6.4million to fund their failed promotion drive, and expects to do similar this term.

Cheltenham have agreed a one year extension to their groundsharing agreement with Gloucester City. The Tigers are expected to hand over £50,000 for the extra season, as well as boosting income for the Robins from matchday advertising. Meanwhile, the Robins own plans to move to the nearby racecourse have been scrapped. The move would have seen the club share a two-faced main stand with the racecourse, but the moves has currently been evaluated as uneconomical.

Mansfield are challenging Dagenham to sign Darlington defender Exodus Geoghaghon on loan. He will have to remain a Quaker until the summer as he has already had permanent deals with them, Barnet, and Peterboro this term. Bristol Rovers chairman Nick Higgs has backed manager Paul Buckle despite the promotion chasers lying in 18th place. He has told supporters that he has faith in Buckle and that players will be changed in the January window.
