Whilst no Hereford United player is close a suspension at present, here's a reminder of the rules.
. if a player accumulates five cautions in first team competitive matches between the opening day of the season and 31 December, he will be suspended for one match.
· If a player accumulates five cautions in first team competitive matches between the opening day of the season and the last day of the season he will be warned as to his future conduct - no suspension.
· If a player accumulates ten cautions in first team competitive matches between the opening day of the season and the second Sunday of April he will be suspended for two matches.
· If a player accumulates ten cautions in first team competitive matches between the opening day of the season and the last day of the season he will be severely censured - no suspension.
· If a player accumulates 15 cautions in first team competitive matches between the opening day of the season and the last day of the season he will be suspended for three matches.
Meanwhile the FA have confirmed that Michael Townsend will miss the Boxing Day fixture against Port Vale after being sent off at Plymouth last Saturday.
