A Week To Make Transfer Decisions

The Bulls have a week to make decisions on the futures of a number of the current squad.

With the next game against Bristol Rovers switched to next Tuesday night due to their ongoing FA Cup involvement, there are a couple of extra days for the Bulls management to decide the fates of a number of players.

Tom Barkhuizen is still to finalise discussions with Blackpool over an extension to his loan while Simon Clist is expected to finalise a permanent move from Oxford with his U's contract expiring at the end of the season. Nathan Elder's current loan spell has also expired, reaching the maximum 93 day period, and a decision on his future is expected later in the week.

Swansea are yet to confirm whether they will allow David Cornell to remain at Edgar Street for the second half of the season after being told by the Bulls he is likely to be second choice, while it appears that Steven Leslie's second loan at the Bulls is also at an end following Joe Colbeck's return to fitness.

Young striker Richard Peniket is expected to agree a loan to the end of the season after an impressive run of goals in the reserves, while Barnsley defender Kern Miller's loan at Accrington has expired and he is also expected to make some form of move to Edgar Street official in the next week.

Finally, Tyler Weir returns to the Bulls squad at the end of his Gloucester City loan spell. The 21 year old has racked up around 40 appearances for the Tigers through his two loan spells there in 2011, mostly playing on the left side of defence but also filling in for a number of midfield roles.
