Dagenham are expected to be without veteran Peter Gain for 4-6 weeks due to an injury picked up on Boxing Day, while they are awaiting scan results on fellow midfielder Kevin Maher over a suspected broken bone in his foot after yesterday's draw with Southend. Barnet defender Daniel Leach has been advised to quit the game over his persistent injury problems. The Australian hasn't played since October after missing the start of the season, and missed six months of last season as well.
Bradford have ended the loans of Michael Bryan, Jamie Devitt, and Liam Moore, while defender Simon Ramsden will miss several weeks after breaking a toe on Boxing Day. Plymouth are set to sign loanee defender Darren Purse on an 18 month deal with his loan expiring, but will wait to see the extent of the hamstring injury to striker Nick Chadwick before finalising a permanent move for the former Bull. He lasted just 16 minutes of their loss to Torquay yesterday.
Swindon are to sign keeper Wes Foderingham on a two and a half year deal after agreeing terms with Crystal Palace. Boss Paolo Di Canio has told the press he still wants another striker after missing out on a long term deal for ex-Bull Jake Jervis. Nominations for Manager of the Month are Micky Adams, John Coleman, Phil Parkinson, and Mark Yates.
Former Bull Jose Veiga is one of the nominations for Player of the Month. The others are Crawley's Matt Tubbs, Bradford's Luke Oliver, and Accrington midfielder Brian Hughes. Port Vale boss Micky Adams says his hopes of signing new players in the January window appear over due to the club's current off-field turmoil. He expects the three current loan signings, including ex-Bull Jennison Myrie-Williams to return to their clubs because they cannot even afford to extend their loans.
Plymouth fans say they have received demands of up to £5,000 from the club's former Administrator. They say the vague letters, received on Christmas Eve by dozens of fans, demand monies for unspecified outstanding invoices. Darlington are to enter Administration this week, according to BBC Tees. The station also reports that keeper Sam Russell is to quit the club over unpaid wages, leaving only rookie stopper Jordan Nixon at the club.
Morecambe have extended the deal of former Bulls striker Jason Price until the end of the season. The 34 year old has scored twice in 14 games for the Shrimps since arriving on a short term deal in September, and is currently training to become a plumber. Former Bulls loanee Marlon Jackson has left Cheltenham after his month long loan spell produced just one sub appearance. Fellow Bristol City loanee Bobby Reid has also left Whaddon Road.
Dagenham have signed loanee Adam Cunnington to a permanent deal on a two and a half year contract. The former Kettering man has only made a handful of appearances after scoring five times in 13 games for the Poppies earlier in the season.
