Accrington Stanley manager John Coleman has been linked to the vacant position at Rochdale according to Sky Sports.
It's been reported he watched Rochdale play at Tranmere last weekend which has heightened speculation he might be interested in a move.
Coleman is the third longest serving manager in the Leagues and has done marvels to keep Accrington in the League given the small budget available.
A move to Rochdale who are currently 21st in League One would be a difficult challenge for the former teacher.
Both SkyBet and Stan James make Coleman favourite for the job.
