Bristol Rovers have appointed Mark McGhee as their new manager on a two and a half year deal.
The 54 year old's last managerial job was with Aberdeen, but it was a bitter experience that saw the club hammered 9-0 by Celtic and ended with a vicious attack on club chairman Stewart Milne. Previously he has had more successful spells at Wolves, Reading, and Millwall.
Meanwhile, former Pirates boss Paul Buckle is one of six to be interviewed for the vacant job at Stevenage.
