The loan deadline is on Thursday with the Bulls likely to make at least one signing ahead of the window closing.
Loan forward Lyle Taylor is hoped to return to Edgar Street after playing no part in Bournemouth's match at the weekend. A return for the 21 year old has been sanctioned by the Bulls board but they are waiting on the Cherries to agree to the deal. Should Taylor not return another loan man is expected to arrive to replace him.
Elsewhere, the Bulls have good cover in most positions other than at left back, where Joe Heath has managed one two minute sub appearance in four months, Simon Clist has been missing for the last two games, and Rob Purdie is now expected to be out for a month.
Without a recognised left back available, one option would be for the Bulls to revert to the 3-5-2 that was successfully deployed during Richard O'Kelly's time as coach here. Back then, Ryan Green and Simon Travis were the marauding wing backs that provided as much ammunition to the front line as they did defensive work.
With the returning Ryan Green and Stefan Stam now available it appears unlikely that Byron Anthony will have his loan spell extended, although it is currently unclear whether the funds used to fund his time at Edgar Street will be available for use on another arrival.
