Former Bulls defender John McCombe has told the press he expects a hard night against the Bulls' front line.
McCombe is expected to line up alongside rookie Joe Davis, and he told The Sentinel that he was sure the youngster would do a good job:
"It's not an ideal situation, but Joe's been doing well with our youth and reserve teams and I thought he performed well on Saturday. I can't see any reason why he can't come in and do well against Hereford.
"I've seen him play quite a lot and he's a good lad who likes to get stuck in and work really hard. The first few games of your professional career are tough and I'm sure Joe will be nervous. But if he has a good start I'm sure he can do well.
"I've worked with him in training and he's definitely one for the future. If selected, I'll have to help him through the game, but whoever is playing in defence we face a hard task playing against Hereford."
Meanwhile, the Valiants have another injury worry with full back Rob Taylor struggling with a slight knock. It could mean a return to the starting line up for Adam Yates, who played six minutes of Saturday's loss after a month out injured.
