Northampton manager Aidy Boothroyd was probably the happier of the two managers at Edgar Street this afternoon after the Cobblers secured another season in the Football League.
"I'm pleased we got the point and we can really start thinking about next year now," he said.
"We had opportunities to score and in my opinion we were by far the better side in the first half.
"In the second half we had our backs against the wall a bit, they hit the post and Clarke Carlisle cleared one off the line.
"Hereford are fighting for their lives and sometimes you have to ride your luck.
"The brief when I came in was to make sure that the club stayed in the Football League, we can celebrate doing that but now it's about building."
