Hereford United are considering a reduction to some gate prices for the visit of Northampton Town next Saturday in the hope that a bumper crowd will back the Bulls to take three points from the game.
Last Friday Barnet cut their prices for the match with Hereford to £10 for Adults and £5 for Concessions and were rewarded with their best gate of the season to date.
3189 watched the game including 673 from Hereford. When high flying Swindon played at Underhill on April 3rd just 2211 watched. So it appears Barnet attracted around 1000 extra home supporters for last Friday's game.
Hereford's last home game on Good Friday afternoon was watched by 3353 home supporters and Bulls' chairman David Keyte will be hopeful that the vast majority will be back at Edgar Street next Saturday.
Northampton are unlikely to bring more than a couple of hundred supporters to the match and therefore any offer if extended to away fans wouldn't be very costly.
Keyte knows that realistically the Bulls must defeat Northampton to have any chance of avoiding relegation. A bumper crowd could make all the difference.
