Exeter have released former Southend target Rohan Ricketts after just one sub appearance nearly a month ago. The former Tottenham forward had signed a deal until the end of the season. Southend's new stadium has moved a step closer after Sainsburys finally agreed a £2million deal to buy land crucial to the development. The supermarket still has to complete deals for a number of smaller properties but the council say they will use compulsory purchase orders if agreements cannot be reached.
Newport have reported ticket sales of over 11,000 for their FA Trophy final with York. The figure is ten times their average home gate, with the Minstermen reporting sales of just 4,500. Dagenham have extended the loan of Bournemouth defender Mathieu Baudry until the end of the season. The 24 year old has played eight times for the Daggers since arriving a month ago.
Cheltenham have had goalkeeper Jack Butland recalled by Birmingham City. The teenager is wanted at St Andrews due to injuries. Butland has played 24 times for the Robins this season, keeping Scott Brown out of the team. Crawley defender Charlie Wassmer says he would have quit the club if Steve Evans had not left. Wassmer was sent out on loan after falling out with Evans, but recalled by temporary boss Craig Brewster, and says the squad want Brewster to be their boss next season.
Northampton have told Jason Crowe and Ryan Gilligan their contracts will not be renewed next season. 33 year old defender Crowe rejoined the club in November but hasn't played since January, while midfielder Gilligan has made only two sub appearances this season after over 200 games for the club. Wimbledon defender Jason Prior has had his broken leg diagnosed as a double break. He will be out until at least November, with the south coast based player being allowed to do early rehab with Portsmouth.
Lincoln are to open contract negotiations with manager David Holdsworth after securing their Conference status with two games of the season remaining. Holdsworth has won only nine of 31 games in charge after taking over from Steve Tilson, whose record was only slightly worse. Southend boss Paul Sturrock believes their hopes of an automatic promotion spot are all but over after their draw with Torquay on Saturday. The Shrimpers face Barnet on Friday night six points behind the third place Gulls.
