Keep The Faith Says O'Kelly

Hereford United manager Richard O'Kelly has asked supporters to keep backing the Bulls. Speaking to BBC Hereford and Worcester after last night's drawn match at Barnet, O'Kelly felt his squad had battled well for the point but also stressed that they did need to keep more possession of the ball.

"Keep the faith, keep believing, continue to show support, all it does is helps.

"What we are looking for is a little slice of luck falling our way. Then you never know what happens."

The Bulls started brightly and took a deserved lead but not for the first time this season couldn't hold on to it.

"I thought their commitment the endeavour and the sprit that was shown was outstanding.

"We had a great start to the game, we talked about things, worked on them on the training pitch, and the lads started really brightly which was important against Barnet.

"We gained a well deserved goal and dominated the early stages I thought.

"They changed the system which changed the game a little bit.

"If there is something we can improve on it's probably the retention of the ball.

"What I was looking for was a performance and I thought they gave it."

Some supporters felt their had been a hand-ball on the line to deny Hereford a winning goal.

"It was a difficult one to see from where I was. It wasn't as clear-cut as the one at Accrington.

"We seem to have that thing at the moment. It's probably six matches where we've had a good shout for a penalty but never quite got it."

The Bulls have three games left from which they have to take a minimum of four points and that is dependent on both Barnet and Macclesfield continuing to lose.

"It's a big ask but if the players show the spirit they did tonight then why can't you in the next three games.

"Hopefully against Northampton we can cross the line."
