News Round-Up

Crawley defender Kyle McFadzean has lost his appeal against the violent conduct charge for his part in the mass brawl last Tuesday. He will now serve a three match ban, but will be available again for the Bulls' visit to the Broadfield Stadium. The Red Devils have extended the loan of Bournemouth defender Warren Cummings until the end of the season. The 31 year old is out of contract in the summer and likely to be released.

Morecambe have released striker Phil Jevons with his deal originally due to expire at the end of the season. The former Huddersfield man, 32, scored 19 goals while on loan at the club in the 09/10 season, but only netted nine last season and five this term. Gillingham have lost the services of loan winger Jordan Obita after Reading turned down a request to extend the loan. The teenager scored three times in six games with the Gills.

No Bulls in the Team of the Week, with Rotherham, Plymouth, and Morecambe all getting two players each into the XI. The nominations for Player of the Month are Mickey Spillane (Dagenham), David Artell (Crewe), and Lee Mansell (Torquay). Nominations for Manager of the Month are Martin Ling (Torquay), Steve Davis (Crewe) , and Aidy Boothroyd (Northampton).

Port Vale's Administrator has confirmed that he has received five firm bids for the club, including one from former bidder Mo Chaudry. The Administrator has told the press two of the bids are front-runners, with the preferred bidder likely to be named tomorrow. Mansfield have announced that they will rebrand their Field Mill home as the One Call Stadium after owner John Radford's company. A club statement says the deal will allow additional finance to be provided to the club.

Bradford say they have admitted the charge of failing to control their players after last Tuesday's mass brawl. They have asked for a personal hearing to offer mitigation. Wimbledon boss Terry Brown says the club cannot afford to sign loanee Pim Balkestein in the summer due to his wage demands. Brown needs to sign a central defender but the Brentford man, a free agent in the summer, is out of his price range.
