The Bulls travel to the Crown Ground on Monday for a League Two match.
It will be the first time in history that the two sides meet without the presence of John Coleman in the Reds dugout. Honours are, so far, fairly even with six wins, six draws, and five losses for the Bulls from the fixtures since the reformed Stanley won promotion to the Conference. Last season the Bulls went down 4-0 on the road but just four of that Stanley side remain, while earlier this season the Gary Peters influenced Bulls claimed a 1-1 draw.
Accrington boss Paul Cook is finding out just how hard it is to follow a long serving manager. He has won just two of his 13 games in charge and is yet to deliver a clean sheet, although his task is not made easy by the club's problematic injury situation. Top scorer Padraig Amond, with a grand total of six League goals, is doubtful for the game after being subbed off at half time on Friday with a back problem.
The Bulls' record at the Crown Ground isn't the best, but they go into something of the unknown without Coleman's influence on the home side. The Bulls' own injury problems continue with Ryan Green missing out on Saturday with unconfirmed reports that he is due an operation in the week that could end his season. Tom Barkuizen's goal on Friday was his 11th League goal, but his first in seven games, but the teenager needs more support from his fellow forwards to give the Bulls a substantial threat up top.
