No games in League Two today, but some significant results affecting promotion and relegation issues above and below.
In League One, Chesterfield seem to be almost certainly relegated after losing their battle with Walsall 3-2. It leaves the Spireites 13 points short of safety with only 15 to play for. Rochdale also seem likely for the drop after they lost 3-1 at Yeovil to leave them with an eleven point gap alongside Exeter, who lost yesterday.
In the Conference Fleetwood beat York 1-0 to move on to the 101 point mark, but they are still not guaranteed the title. Wrexham can still hit 105 points and, if they pass the 100 point barrier, it will be the first time in Conference history that two sides have done it in the same season.
Elsewhere, Luton's new boss Paul Buckle got a disappointing return to Conference life. First, he was refused admission to the ground as his name was not on the list, then his Hatters side lost 3-1 to Braintree to leave them three points off the play-offs. Kidderminster hold a play-off spot after beating fellow contenders Southport 2-1, but both can be caught by the Hatters with their games in hand.
Down the wrong end of the table, Stockport thumped Lincoln 4-0 to leave the Imps still in danger and ease their own uncertainties. Darlington drew 0-0 with Grimsby to leave them 11 points short with 15 to play for. More disappointing for the Quakers was the attendance of 2,212 considering they had handed out 2,500 free tickets to schoolchildren. Kettering are the second team relegated from the Conference after they lost 3-0 at home to Mansfield.
