Pugh Rejects Cherries Extension

Former Bulls winger Marc Pugh has turned down an extension to his Bournemouth contract.

The 25 year old has one year left on his deal, with Cherries boss Paul Groves admitting to the BBC that he is minded to sell the winger rather than let him leave for free next summer:

"He told us he wants to keep his options open and he is perfectly entitled to do that. We are in a situation now where Marc could leave in a year's time for absolutely nothing, so it would make sense for us to listen to offers.

That said, any bid would have to be of significant value to the club for us to even entertain the idea of letting him go. We haven't received any formal offers yet for Marc but we are sure there are a number of clubs who have him on their radar."

Pugh left the Bulls for Dean Court two years ago in a deal that netted the Bulls a total of £100,000 and a 10% sell-on clause. He has scored 25 goals in 96 games for the Cherries and attracted interest from several Championship sides.
