The released Morecambe youngster never played for the Shrimps' first team.
Cambridge have had a third bid accepted for Lincoln forward Sam Smith, claimed to be £40,000. The sale will allow the Imps to sign former Kidderminster defender Gavin Caines and youngster Valdaine Oliver, a striker released by Sheff Weds. Luton will take Mansfield to a tribunal over midfielder Godfrey Poku. The two sides have failed to reach an agreement over a fee for the youngster.
Lincoln are hoping for a windfall after Bristol Rovers sold winger Mustafa Carayol to Middlesboro for an undisclosed fee. The Imps hold a sell-on clause on the 23 year old with suggestions claiming the fee could be up to £500,000. Port Vale's Administrator has confirmed he has opened talks with other bidders after Keith Ryder failed to meet the latest deadline to finalise his deal. Ryder's bid is not dead and can still be completed, but he no longer has exclusivity.
