Hereford United chairman David Keyte has written to shareholders about the current financial situation at the club.
BN understands that the letter mentions, amidst other matters, the current short-fall in gate receipts at Edgar Street.
It also notes that the club recently had a VAT inspection.
Keyte is beleived to be desparate to balance the books this season after last season's loss.
And if income doesn't increase, it's bound to put even more pressure on manager Martin Foyle's budget.
