News Round-Up

Mansfield have axed their two youth coaches and put assistant manager Adam Murray and first team coach Richard Cooper in charge of the side. The move is part of an 'internal review' at Field Mill. Tamworth have released Spanish striker Jan Llado by mutual consent. The former Barcelona youngster has return to his native country after starting just once since a summer move to English football.

Kettering owner Imraan Ladak was confident of meeting yesterday's deadline to prove to the Southern League that the club was capable of continuing. They had until midnight to meet criteria laid down by the league, with an announcement on the outcome yet to be made. Lincoln are trialling former Hartlepool striker Adam Boyd. The 30 year old started the season with ambitious Cumbrian side Celtic Nation but left last month.

Grimsby have signed Bury winger Marcus Marshall on loan for an initial month. The former Blackburn trainee has started five times for the Shakers since a summer move from Rotherham. Tamworth have extended the loan of Luton defender Greg Taylor for a second month. The 22 year old has played five times for the Lambs during his first month.

Kettering have been given the go-ahead to continue in the Southern League after apparently meeting the criteria set. They have only one registered player and will be given time to sign new players with Saturday's game postponed. They will also have to persuade the electricity company to turn the power back on at Nene Park.
