There was a disappointing turnout of Hereford United supporters at this evening's fans forum which had been arranged to discuss ways of helping the club out of its present financial problems.
Keith Dodd chaired the meeting. Also on the top table were Nicki White, Dave White, Richard Burkin and Martin Watson. Around 20 other supporters were present.
The chairman revealed that he had spoken to Hereford United chairman David Keyte just before the meeting. In particular they talked about when the HMRC might act against the club if debts to them are not settled.
"The fact is that we are no further down the line with that at the moment," said Dodd.
"But it would be around about December 10th should HMRC decide to go ahead with a winding-up order.
"The amount they would want is about £113K which would include the £45K VAT.
"Graham Turner has various people looking at that (his probable part).
"With all the things that are going on I would be reasonably confident we won't arrive at that situation."
Dodd said Keyte was very thankful for all the help the club was receiving from supporters.

There was a general discussion about how to improve HUISA's communication with supporters and also how to involve other organisations such as BOLSA. A new website for HUISA would be up and running in a couple of days.
Other points from the meeting:

The problem of having no home games at present was noted.

Questions were asked about the £100K bond with the deposited with the Herefordshire council. Director Nic Nenadich was looking into this but he had been away for the past two weeks.
Supporters wanted to know where their donations were going.
Lack of marketing at the club was mentioned.
Keyte was urged to tell supporters if there were any other debts as there were suggestions from the floor that some suppliers might be owed money.
HUISA could have seat on the board. Most supporters backed this idea but some felt they shouldn't have a vote.
Another idea put forward was that HUISA should rename itself as HUSA dropping the independent ideal.
