Todd Expected To Join Newport

Former Bulls loanee Chris Todd is expected to join Newport from Forest Green, but the South Wales press claim the Bulls remain interested.

Todd, who left the Exiles in 2011 for Forest Green, has been in talks with the Rodney Parade outfit but the press claim the Bulls, Kidderminster, and Telford have all made enquiries for the 31 year old.

Telford are understood to be at the back of the field due to their part-time status, while Kidderminster's surprise contract deal with Josh Gowling is likely to cool their interest.

The Bulls' interest in Todd is expected to rest on the continued availability of the club's three contracted centre backs following the arrival of James Musa. With two of the three, Stefan Stam and Michael Townsend, still on Football League contracts it may be a case of having to move one of them on in order to free up finances for any further moves.
