Bob Pritchard was recently appointed as a director of Hereford United and he's already had meeting with possible developers with regard to the two ends of Edgar Street.
Fellow director Dave Preedy feels he's made an excellent start.
"We've got Bob Pritchard on board now," Preedy told BN.
"He comes here with reams and reams of paper work.
"He's had two or three meetings already with developers and interested parties
"We can meet with them but that's his job, that's what he does.
"He's worked for years and years with Wimpey.
"We've now got somebody on board who is qualified to do it.
"And I think he can open more doors than we could on our own.
"So for that reason alone, I'm more hopeful.
"We knew it was going to happen but I think with Bob it will happen sooner."
Preedy was asked if Prichard might update shareholders at the forthcoming AGM.
"Not sure, I'll have a chat, may be the AGM, it might come under any other business.
"I think he needs a few more weeks to get his paperwork together.
"He's come in the deep end, heck of a lot of searching to do.
"It's going ahead, it's just the speed of it."
