Joe Tumelty had a good strike from the edge of the box on 42 minutes, only to find Owen Evans in good form in the Pegasus goal who made a great save.
The second half started with Hereford United making the better start and the first attack saw Sam Lewis' shot just go by the post.
Hereford continued to put pressure on Pegasus and in the 50th minute their pressure paid off when the ball was played into the box and the defence failed to clear. The ball was put into the net.
Another through ball from Joe Tumelty found Louis Feeley whose shot was parried by the goalkeeper to the feet of Cory Williams who made no mistake and made it 3-1 to Hereford.
Hereford were now well in control and on 70 minutes they went further ahead when Cory Williams gained possession on the right wing then crossed the ball into the middle of the box where it hit Thomas John on the back and bounced into the goal.
Following a further 5 minutes of pressure Hereford scored yet another goal. Once again, Cory Williams crossed the ball into the back post where Dylan Bonnela was waiting to slot the ball home.
The next attack saw Louis Feeley feed the ball through to the feet of Cory Williams who made no mistake to make it 6-1.
With time running out Pegasus kept plugging away and won a free kick on 86 minutes. Once again Ryan Wilkes stepped up and struck the ball straight into the net. Soon after the referee's whistle brought the game to an end.
