With the Big Bike Ride to Telford just six days away, several of the participants were warming up yesterday.

Former Bull Gareth Davies cycled all the way from Hay on Wye to Hereford on a tandem, with Tasha Webster, and Hereford United's chief photographer, Steve Niblett, joined Gareth on a lap around the outside of the Edgar Street pitch just before kick-off.

Gareth's tandem is sponsored by Drovers Holidays of Hay-on Wye.
And, in a brave move, director Dave Preedy has agreed to join the cyclists for the last two miles of the ride next Saturday. It's not known when he was last on a bike.
Meanwhile the club put on a spread for the Malvern Walkers yesterday.

Last November the group raised around £7,000 for the club after they walked from Malvern to Edgar Street in not the best of weather.
Finally a cup for the cabinet. Last Tuesday the Hereford United under 18's won the HFA Giantkillers Cup (report below). Yesterday they were presented with the cup by Colin Addison and Peter Issacs.
