Former Bulls loanee David Cornell has joined SPL side St Mirren on loan for the season. The 22 year old is expected to be their first choice for the coming season. Chester have signed striker Jamie Reed for the coming season. The 25 year old was released by York earlier in the summer and had a loan spell with Cambridge in February, playing seven times without scoring.
Alfreton have signed former Cambridge midfielder Tom Shaw on a two year deal. The 26 year old made 37 Conference appearances for the U's last season but rejected a contract clause for a new deal after boss Richard Money told him he wasn't wanted. Gateshead are trialling former loan midfielder Lee Bullock and Congo international David Louhoungou, who had a spell with SPL side Hamilton four years ago.
Halifax have signed former Kidderminster defender Keith Briggs and ex-Lincoln winger Adam Smith for the coming season. 32 year old Briggs left the Harriers to return north, while Smith, 27, was released by the Imps after 19 starts and 11 sub appearances last term. One of the most successful managerial partnerships in non-league is no more with John Coleman's assistant Jimmy Bell taking charge of Port Vale's new development squad. The pair worked together for more than ten years.
