It's a few years back but Steve Jenkins, now a youth team coach with Hereford United, has been telling the South Wales Evening post of his memories of playing for Swansea in the Cup Winners Cup when Frank Burrows was their manager.
It was 1991 and Swansea played Monaco who had the likes of George Weah and French pair Youri Djorkaeff and Emmanuel Petit in their team.
"I was only 18 or 19, just breaking in to the first team, I was a bit naive and didn't know who these people were.
"It was only about three or four years later I realised who we'd come up against. They got to the final that year and lost to Werder Bremen."
Back in Europe this season Swansea will meet Malmo in the First Round of the Europa League.
"It's a different world now," said Jenkins.
"It's 18 years since I left, although it doesn't feel it, and everything's changed.
"Malmo are halfway through their season and that's a big advantage. They stuck nine past Hibernian, but I expect Swansea to go through."
