News Round-Up

Dartford boss Tony Burman says he almost had to field a defender in goal last Saturday after their only keeper, Alan Julian, got stuck in traffic on the way to their game with Southport. Julian is the club's only available keeper with one out on loan and another on a job-related course in Spain until December.

Dorchester boss Phil Simkin says he will have to register himself as a player for the club, at the age of 60, in order to fill the bench for their game on Saturday. The club have put every player on the transfer list as they look to cut spending with reported debts at the Conf South club of £150,000.

There will be a heavy Police presence at Saturday's Nuneaton-Lincoln match to prevent a repeat of violence that marred the fixture last season. 87 idiots were arrested after disruption around a nearby pub, with many of them due in court over the coming weeks. Grimsby have turned down a request from striker Andy Cook to go out on loan in order to play more games. The 22 year old ex-Barrow man is yet to start a game this season.

Former Bulls loanee Chris Palmer has signed for Oxford City. The 29 year old former Derby trainee, who played three times for the Bulls nine years ago, left Burton in the summer.
