News Round-Up

Luton midfielder Jonathan Smith is expected to miss the rest of the season after breaking a leg in two places in their win over Barnet yesterday. The game was held up for several minutes as Smith was treated, with boss John Still calling hearing the sound of the break 'sickening'. The Hatters have released midfielder Arnaud Mendy by mutual consent. The former Macclesfield man cost the Hatters £40,000 in January but hasn't played for them since March with boss Still saying he wouldn't play for the club again.

Macclesfield have announced contract extensions for midfielders Paul Turnbull and Paul Lewis to the end of the season. Ex-Stockport man Turnbull has been a regular this season, while youngster Lewis only signed pro forms in the summer and has started only one game. Kidderminster have loaned striker Nathan Blissett to Hednesford for an initial month. The 23 year old has started only three games this season.
