Hereford United chairman David Keyte wasn't at Edgar Street this afternoon. Instead he made the short trip to Cheltenham to watch his horse Harry Topper come third in the Argento Chase.
He explained his decision not to watch the Bulls in the match programme.
"I must give my personal apologies for not being at today's game.
"It is Lorraine's birthday and I was under pressure to take her out for the day.
"I suggested Cheltenham and was amazed to discover there was racing on there as well today!!.
"What a coincidence".
It can't have been an easy week at Edgar Street for Keyte and his fellow directors so perhaps a few hours off watching another of his passions will have helped him recharge his batteries.
As director Dave Preedy told BN there's a lot more work to do to secure the future of the Bulls.
Meanwhile as well as a gate of 2016, the highest since the visit of Luton on September 28th, a bucket collection raised over £2300.
There was also a sale of football kit.
