Keyte Confirms Agombar's Criminal History

Hereford United's David Keyte, who is selling his share in the club to Tommy Agombar, has said that he is aware of the Londoner's criminal history.

Agombar was jailed for seven years in 1987 after he was convicted of theft.

According to BBC Hereford and Worcester Keyte has said he is 'satisfied that Agombar is the right person to take over ownership'.

"It was 27 years ago.

"It's not the vicar coming along to buy the football club, is it?

"But, with respect, do you hang somebody for the rest of their lives?

"He was 27 years of age, with a group of other lads who came up with an idea that they didn't get away with."

Keyte was asked if Agombar had a clean record since 1987.

"He tells me so."
