Exeter's main owners, the Supporters Trust who hold 53% of the club, are to investigate their relationship with the club board after it took a PFA loan to cover wages without telling the Trust. The independent club board took the £100,000 loan in the absence of the Trust representative, and only told them hours before it was made public. The Trust have put £1.75million into the club in 10 years.

Wimbledon are a step closer to returning to Plough Lane after an independent inspector approved a Council application for 'sporting intensification' of the site. The Football League have given outline approval to use plastic pitches in Leagues One and Two from the 2015/16 season. The proposal will need to be firmed up and presented for a final vote.

Chris Todd and Dean Beckwith have been named in the Conf South Team of the Year at the Conference AGM. Former Bulls trialist Darren Campion, who was a teenager when rejected by Graham Turner in 2007, was named in the Conf North side for Hednesford as was Boston defender Carl Piergianni, who trialed for the Bulls under Martin Foyle in late 2012.

At the Welsh Premier AGM yesterday, clubs were told that an average of £285,000 was gambled on each game in the competition. Clubs agreed to new rules banning mobile phones in dressing rooms, with a designated club official collecting mobiles from players at least an hour before kick off, and before any team sheets are released.

Torquay have cancelled the contract of midfielder Nathan Craig by mutual consent. The 22 year old was put on the transfer list last month after complaining of being homesick, but the Gulls received little interest and have decided to release the former Everton youngster for him to return to his North Wales roots.
