Aldershot game still on Jan 29th

The match between Aldershot Town and Hereford United is still scheduled to be played on Saturday January 29th.



There have been rumours that the date was to be moved but these have been denied by the Aldershot club.



It would not have suited Hereford to have the game brought forward to the Friday evening as the Bulls have the important LDV game against Wrexham on the previous Tuesday.



Meanwhile Wrexham have signed Spanish goalkeeper Xavi Valero (El Gigante) on a short-term contract and he helped the North Wales side to a 2-2 draw away at Peterborough last night.



Valero was only given international clearance to play hours before kick-off and manager Denis Smith felt his new aquistion had not let him down.



"The lad´s done tremendously well. Xavi´s come in and done a good job for me. I didn´t know what he was going to do. I was hoping he was going to perform and he´s performed," Smith told the Wrexham Leader.
