The Bulls travel to Barnet after a season break, and will hope to continue a run of four undefeated against the Bees.
Last time round at Underhill Barnet, with current Bull Scott Tynan in goal, had a spanner thrown in their promotion works as the Bulls secured an unexpected 2-0 victory with an excellent display.
Barnet went on the win the title, but have struggled with League life since. Three defeats have left them off the bottom of the table this season only on goal difference and they are favourites for the drop with most bookies. Their financial and ground problems are well documented and they have needed special dispensation from the League for their ground to be passed fit on several occasions. Their squad contains a number of notable names with the veteran pair of Paul Warhurst and Andy Hessenthaler - formerly manager at Gillingham with Bulls physio Wayne Jones as his assistant - joining former Bulls loanee Nicky Nicolau and Carlisle loan sensation Magno Silva Viera.
The Bulls will go to Underhill full of confidence. A resolute defence coupled with lethal finishing from minimal chances have put the Bulls into a decent early position and last Saturday's morale boosting win over old rivals Chester will send the side into the next match full of confidence. Goalkeeper injury problems continue with neither contracted keeper likely to be seen for a few weeks, but Tamika Mkandawire is expected back after a concussion received against Lincoln.
Best odds: Barnet 6/4, Draw 9/4, Bulls 7/4.
Barnet vs Hereford United, Underhill, Saturday August 19th, 3.00pm.
