Saturday sees The Bulls make what will be their last visit to The Gay Meadow when they take on Shrewsbury Town in a Coca Cola League Two fixture. Whilst it is not expected that as many fans will travel as did for the recent FA Cup match, it will still be a more than decent following who make their way up the A49 on Saturday morning for the 12.00 noon kick off. Fans are reminded that this is an "all ticket" match for visiting HUFC fans.
Parking at Shrewsbury is far from the worse fans will encounter this season with both the football club itself and a nearby "pay and display" offering ample room. After passing Bayston Hill you will come to a large roundabout (Garden Centre to the left) which go straight over and continue to the Meole Roundabout. Take the third exit sign Reabrook/Shirehall/North. Straight on at the next Island and at the next, take the third exit sign Shirehall (up a steep bank). Turn left towards the Town Centre, through a set of traffic lights, passed the Dun Cow Pub and Netto. There is a very large pay and display Car Park on the left opposite the Abbey (not sure how much) or at the Stadium, there is reserved visitors parking for up to 300 cars (£2).
HUISA are running coaches at £7.00 each leaving the Merton Meadow Car Park at 9.30. Passengers will be rquired to show a match ticket before boarding the coach. Coach tickets can be purchaced through the club office (01432 276666)
HUMADS coach leaves The Cross Keys (Malvern) at 8.00am, Blackfriars Street 9.00am and Leominster (opp Bus station) 9.30am. Tickets £8.00 Contact Reg on 01684 572945.
FUN BUS leaves The Street at 9.30 am and will stay on in Shrewsbury after the match while The Crew take on their Shrewsbury Supporting counterparts at Pool and Darts at one of their drinking haunts. They expect to be back in Hereford by 7.00pm. At the time of writing there are just a handfull of seats left. Anyone wishing to join the fun should contact myself on 07866 518226.
Trains will be running as normal and no special arrangements have so far been anounced.
Fans will no doubt recall the large Police activity at our last visit and Bulls News have no reason to expect this occasion to be any different!
