The Chester City chairman Stephen Vaughan was today due to appear before a Football Association disciplinary commission charged with violent conduct according to the North West Evening Mail.
The Merseyside-based businessman is alleged to have assaulted a Shrewsbury footballer in the players' tunnel on November 25 following a 'bad-tempered, incident-peppered' game between the clubs.
Vaughan has denied the charge.
Both clubs have already been fined £3,000 each after the FA charged them.

Vaughan, a former professional boxer, whose son Stephen was until recently Chester City captain, was previously involved in a fracas at the Non-League awards dinner at the Winter Gardens in Eastbourne, after Chester had won the Conference title in 2004, the first year Hereford were runners-up in that league.
The incident, involving David Emery, editor-in-chief of the Non-League Paper, followed a story about Chester's financial dispute with Hereford United.
The two clubs had met on the last day of the season at Edgar Street. However Chester were slow to pay for pre-booked tickets for the game.
Hereford United visit Chester City next Saturday week.
