Former Bulls striker Adam Stansfield has not had the best of times since leaving Edgar Street in the summer, and was left out of the squad completely for Tuesday's loss to Dagenham. Speaking to the Express and Echo, Stansfield said:
"I was very disappointed to have been left out of the squad altogether, I want to be involved every week and if you are not lucky enough to play, then at least you want to be on the bench.
"The manager took the two wingers out and obviously they needed to be on the bench and he had to cut players from other areas. It is disappointing but I have to get my head down and battle my way back in there. I love playing football and I want to be in the team every week.
"It has been a stop-start season and there has been no real chance to get any consistency. I have probably only scored about half the goals I wanted to at this stage of the season, but then again I have only played half the amount of games I would have liked to have played. At the minute it is all about getting back into the team and starting to score again."
Stansfield has not started any of the last six games, bagging just four goals so far this season after managing just seven last term with the Bulls.
