Wayne Jones, the Hereford United physiotherapist, has been talking about Martyn Giles (pictured), who suffered a head wound last October in the game against Darlington and hasn't played for the first team since that Saturday.
"Afterwards Martyn had headaches and dizzy spells for a week or so," Jones told Bullseye.
"A CT scan showed there was no internal damage, but he had to rest for five or six weeks.
"When he came back after a couple of weeks training he injured his back in a reserve game.
"Probably, if he hadn't had the long lay off because of his head injury, it wouldn't have happened.
"He's had a lot of disconfort and has had scan and blood tests and we're awaiting a conclusive dianogis.
"To avoid his having to drive up to Hereford from his home in Cardiff some days Martyn is swimming and doing exercises there and regularly keeping in touch.
"It's very frustrating for him as coming to Edgar Street gave him the chance to get back into Football League soccer and he was playing well in defence before he suffered the head injury.
"Hopefully, he'll soon be fully fit again."
