Former Hereford United goalkeeper Wayne 'Superman' Brown has spoken about his move to Gigg Lane on the Bury Official Website. He gave several reasons for leaving Edgar Street.
"I'd like a new challenge really. I've done three years at Hereford and had a cracking time there. Nothing bad to say about that. Fantastic little club.
"My daughter is up here as well so that's a big thing for me. I'm missed her quite a bit down there.
"And Neil Cutler and Alan just said the right things."
Reminded that he is the only keeper at Gigg Lane as yet, Brown said he was sure they would sign someone else.
"You always need competition to keep you on your toes."
Brown revealed that he had just come back from Egypt.
"I'm going to pop down to Hereford, sort everything out and say my goodbyes."
Superman kept 21 clean sheets last season with the Bulls including two against Bury.
"It wasn't bad. The manager kept on saying we weren't keeping enough clean sheets - could have done better. If I could keep the same for Bury it would be great.
"I'm going to move to Manchester. It's all a big new challenge. I'm really excited about it."
