One of Hereford United's trialists started this season training with Brighton and Hove Albion despite being released by them at the end of last season. But he already knew he had a trial with the Bulls a week later in case things did not work out.
Paul Reid was told to find another club by former manager Dean Wilkins but since then Micky Adams has taken over and he decided to take a further look at Reid and two other players released by Wilkins - Kerry Mayo and Gary Hart.
However whilst Mayo and Hart are still with Brighton, it appears Australian Reid is looking for another club. If he does join the Bulls he could meet up with some of his former team-mates at Brighton as soon as October 18th.
Reid, who is 29, started his League career at Bradford City but moved to the South Coast in March 2004. Whilst he regularily featured for Albion in 2005/6 and 2006/7 he only made 12 starts last season.
He suffered a serious knee injury during Brighton's game against Carlisle last October after his studs got caught in the Brunton Park turf and he twisted awkwardly rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament.
Reid can play in midfield or either as a left or rightback.
