Below are a few of post match words of Crewe manager Gudjon Thordarson.
"I had told my players that it was going to be a tough game for us this afternoon. We discussed it and after the game underfolded like it did and us letting them back into it from the corner, I am very relived to have won.
"We were naive' to let them come back into the game because we should have been clear by then. We had enough chances to kill them off and have to be more lethal. Our forwards have to be more clincial in front of goal.
"We couldn't find a way through in the first half. Their goalkeeper had an excellent game and he made three saves that no-one would have any complaints about if it they gone into the back of the net.
"The players went for it in the second half, Woody hit the post and we had the better of the chances again. Once we got the penalty and they went down to ten men, I didn't think there was too much danger. A lack of concentration let them back in and we have to be stronger on that.
"Billy has again scored a fantastic goal to win us the game, but we should have scored more and avoided having a nervous end to the game."
