Dave has done well - Ferguson

Toumani Diagouraga (Dave) has been on the receiving end of some praise from Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson.

"Toumani has done well," said Ferguson as reported by Peterborough Today.

"The boy has a lot to learn in terms of his long-range passing game, but I am pleased with what he has done so far.

"Toumani is a very different kind of player to everything else we have at the club and that was one of the main attractions.

"We knew all about him after coming up against him while he was at Hereford and also having had him watched numerous times. We had actually tried to get him in a couple of times before but Graham (Turner) wasn't interested."

Dave didn't feature in Posh's first game of the season against Derby but looks to have cemented his place ever since.

"I was a little disappointed not to make the starting 11 for the first game at Derby, but I've been pleased with the way things have gone for me since," said Diagouraga.

"I am not surprised to have made it into the team because I was told when I signed that I would be coming here to play. I have worked hard in training and taken my chance.

"It is a lot more difficult to play in the Championships than League One. The biggest thing to get used to is that you need to keep your concentration because you are punished as soon as you switch off."
